De Meent (in English: The Commons) is a publishing house for inspiring, unruly and above all well-written fiction and non-fiction, accessible to a wide readership. Our publishing house is named after a well-known shopping street in the heart of Rotterdam, called the Meent. In the Middle Ages there was a commune, a pasture land that was managed for the whole community. That is the entrepreneurial model that we deliberately choose: De Meent is for all of us.
